This week in SAP partner news: the release of SAP Business One 8.81, managing real estate with SAP Business ByDesign, and secure faxing in the cloud. In addition, STAS offers new modules for STAS CONTROL Banking.
ESS enhancing Business ByDesign for real estate management
ESS EDV-Software-Service AG was recently named a solution partner for SAP Business ByDesign. With this new status, ESS’s efforts will include developing add-ons that focus on the technical and business aspects of real estate management. It plans to release its first offering for rental management in September, which will also be available in feature pack 3.0 of SAP’s on-demand solution. Further add-ons for real estate search and rental are to follow in summer 2012.
SAP AG releases SAP Business One 8.81
SAP Business One, an application tailored to small businesses and midsize companies, is now available in version 8.81. The new release includes optimizations in the areas of mobility, partner application development, and social networking. Thanks to SAP Business One’s support of numerous mobile technologies, customers can also extend the range of their central applications. SAP partners, meanwhile, can now rely on an improved ecosystem and a revamped development kit – SAP Business One Studio – in creating their own applications. Finally, the latest version of SAP Business One fully integrates Business Analytics, SAP Crystal Reports and SAP Crystal Dashboard Design.
OpenText introduces RightFax 10 for the cloud
RightFax 10 – the latest version of the fax server software from OpenText – secures the process of sending and receiving faxes through cloud-based office platforms, including Microsoft Office 365 and Google Apps. This version also comes standard with RightFax Access, which enables users to connect to their RightFax server through a Web browser. The software’s new functions, meanwhile, include barcode routing, the ability to deliver searchable PDFs, and improved integration with Microsoft Outlook 2010 and IBM Lotus Notes 8.5.
