New Partner Offerings
The latest numbers are in: over 400 SAP customers, representing around 69,000 end users, are now running SAP HANA. Sixteen of these customers are experiencing a performance that is 10,000 times better than before HANA. And what’s more, another 40 customers, consisting solely of small and midsize businesses, are in ramp-up for analytics powered by SAP HANA on SAP Business One.
With such quick adoption of SAP HANA by customers large and small, it’s no wonder that SAP decided it was time to focus on acceleration in the partner ecosystem. At the moment, there are more than 1,500 partners supporting HANA. SAP is hoping to increase that number by making all HANA products available to the ecosystem. On July 15, 2012, the following offerings will be added to the master price list:
In addition, SAP together with SAP Active Global Support is setting up a new certification program for value-added resellers (VARs) to deliver support for SAP HANA. The enablement program will start immediately and is open to all SAP PartnerEdge VARs. The finall support certification exams will be available later in 2012.
Another new opportunity for partners comes with the Partner Migration Credit Program. This is an incentive program for SAP VARs selling SAP HANA, Database Edition for SAP BW and for Selected Strategic Service partners with SAP HANA and SAP BW practices in place. VARs can receive a deal-based migration rebate, and qualified strategic service partners can receive a services credit to use against partner services. With over 13,000 SAP BW customers worldwide, there is a huge untapped opportunity to improve data warehousing with SAP HANA. The incentive program should speed up that process.
