The Austrian Ministry for Education, Science and Culture is standardizing financial management processes across all of Austria’s universities on SAP software in a strategic move to support each institution’s evolution into operational autonomy. SAP installations went live simultaneously at all 21 Austrian universities on January 5, 2004. The announcement was made at EUNIS 2004, the 10th International Conference of European University Information Systems, being held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, June 29 – July 2.
