The Bundesagentur für Arbeit, Germany’s Federal Employment Agency (BA), plans to harmonize its IT landscape and use SAP ERP to manage its human resources and financial management systems. A team of around 200 experts are working on the implementation, which is scheduled for completion by 2011.

SAP Public Services, Inc., a subsidiary of SAP AG, announced that the United States Postal Service (USPS), one of the world’s largest employers, has successfully “gone live” with a new cutting-edge human resources system to meet the demands of the information age. The new HR system, based on the SAP ERP Human Capital Management (SAP ERP HCM) solution, is one of the world’s largest integrated HR systems.

Youth welfare association SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. has converted its accounting systems to mySAP ERP. The solution provides the organization with a robust financial accounting and billing system for all of its 50 institutions in Germany. What’s more, the extension of the controlling functionalities gives the association access to effective control instruments.

The Austrian Ministry for Education, Science and Culture is standardizing financial management processes across all of Austria’s universities on SAP software in a strategic move to support each institution’s evolution into operational autonomy. SAP installations went live simultaneously at all 21 Austrian universities on January 5, 2004. The announcement was made at EUNIS 2004, the 10th International Conference of European University Information Systems, being held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, June 29 – July 2.
