SAP America, Inc., a subsidiary of SAP AG announced the expansion of its offerings for small and midsize business with the addition of two new vertical industry solutions for beverage distributors and consumer products and food companies and two new distribution partner relationships that serve geographic markets in the United States. New partner Summit Enterprise Solutions (SES) has introduced a qualified mySAP All-in-One solution for beverage distributors and itelligence has launched a qualified mySAP All-in-One solution for companies in the consumer packaged goods and food industries.

Tyson Foods has selected mySAP Business Suite as the backbone technology platform to complete the integration of its operating units, adopt “best practice” business processes and optimize efficiency across its operations. The project will provide Tyson team members with a common view, platform and standard process for managing customer relationships, improving visibility and accuracy in procurement and inventory management and managing all financial information across the company for more consistent reporting. In addition, SAP and Tyson Foods will work together to further enhance a catch weight management application for tracking variations and assessing value between product orders and shipments. The announcement was made at SAPPHIRE ’04, SAP’s international customer conference being held in New Orleans, Louisiana, May 11 – 13.

SAP recently published the first in a series of studies by Gartner Consulting, Inc. Gartner has been commissioned by SAP to conduct an unbiased, third-party assessment of the return-on-investment (ROI) seen by a range of SAP customers after implementing mySAP All-in-One solutions. The first study looks at Morgan Foods, a family-owned food-processing company based in Indiana, USA.
