SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure now supports RFID-based Kanban procedures to provide more process security in production. The newly developed SAP object event repository helps identify products and goods uniquely and tracks transportation routes seamlessly.

SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure integrates ERP solutions with RFID technologies. A two-part article presents the new version 4.0 of SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure. Part 1 examines the promise of Auto-ID and Unique Identification and then focuses on the many different functionalities supported by SAP RFID Solutions today, in particular with respect to RFID enabled outbound and inbound processing. Part 2 focuses on the Auto-ID applications for RFID enabled Returnable Transport Items, Data and Device integration.
