SAP Business ByDesign Work Group Founded

In September, the German-speaking SAP User Group (DSAG) founded a work group for SAP Business ByDesign. Its goals are to provide information on release planning and promote the exchange of experience among users. On March 2, SAP AG employees voted against the creation of a committee to conduct a works council election by an overwhelming majority. Does Beaming Get a Realistic Chance?

The Fraunhof Institute for Computer Architecture and Software Technology (FIRST, in its German acronym), has worked with Charité and University Medicine, a Berlin-based research group, to develop an interface between the human brain and a computer – the brain-computer interface (BCI). The BCI measures electrical brain signals with an EEG and uses an attached computer to convert them into computer control signals. Test subjects have already been able to move a cursor just by thinking about it. Project leader Klaus-Robert Müller and FIRST press secretary Mirjam Kaplow explain the possible uses of this technology in our interview.
